Our story
Maine's oldest continuously operating community theater.
We started out as the Augusta Players in 1937, toured central Maine as the Kerosene Circuit, and in 1979 found a permanent home on the stage of Hallowell City Hall, a building on the National Register of Historic Places. We are still all volunteers, and we still put on four shows a year.
